We bought number 8 in 2005 and knocked a hole through into number 7 in 2006 0r was it 2007?
You wouldn't think this was a big (ish) house would you?
Funny ugly looking thing with a tunnel underneath into the back gardens....
The lamp on the left is attached to Number 7 our OTHER house.
Ground floor where the funny brown door is... Large lounge with vestigial Kitchen ( no cooker) gorgeous old Catalan staircase and traditional fireplace with hook for hanging pot over the fire.... out onto covered rickety covered terrace....
First floor with brown open shutters.... all floors boarded with MDF which we painted white in the early days to "clean it up a bit" and are now stained with coffee and horrid covering God knows what ! Pete has sleepless nights about the state of the floorboards beneath... I don't give a fig ! 3 bedrooms on this floor, named 'our room', 'the place room'... the one you can see here overlooks the place ;-) and the 'Terrace room' as it leads onto the terrace boom boom ! Top terrace is uncovered and has gorgeous views... sadly we are just TOO low to see Mount Canigou and the sea but we know they are there !!!!
2nd floor with white shutters...is accessed from a hole in the wardrobe.. and soon ( poetic licence) to be opened up as a studio for Pete
Below.... down tunnel on the left a massive cave ( cellar ) which will one day be our kitchen.... don't hold your breath we have to knock through from the loinge and get accrpo props and build a staircase and concrete the EARTH floor and all kinds of crazy shite so it's not going to happen over night if the chaf eau os anything to go by !
