Beach this afternoon ....won't bother with hair and make up then....I will obviously take my hair..

I'll be honest I have let standards slip somewhat in the personal grooming department. This is for a variety of reasons, 1) I can't find my make up, and hair stuff.. ( I do wash it but that's about it ) 2) I am surrounded by shuffling peasants and am fast becoming one of them 3) If I could find it, it's far too hot to use a hairdryer..and I can't remember number 4) probably just laziness. Oh yes 4) the absence of an inside bathroom might have something to do with it...... charming though it is, a shower on the terrace does throw you a bit... not quite the ensuite I have always had !

I told my sister this was luxury camping until we get the renovations sorted and she told me about "Glamping!" There is nothing glamourous about piddling in a bucket in the middle of the night let me tell you !

Sooooooo this afternoon we are off to the beach for a break. Going to meet Ian and Gill for num nums.Pam and John are you coming ?

 August was designated holiday month on account of it being so bleeping hot down here, you couldn't work if you wanted to. Also we are both knackered after towing our life 1000 miles south in 3 trailerloads. Packing and unpacking both ends was hard enough but nothing to the decision making of what to take and what to sling, sell, or gift. Seriously I think we are just starting to unwind....

We haven't really been in "holiday mode" since we arrived as we have had so many admininstrative and practical things to do. Sorting out Internet, phones, bills etc is all technically easy but each job takes a day as nothing is ever simple and you are always a little worried that something has got lost in translation.....

I will tell you about the flea problem in a few days... I am still emotionally scarred from that little escapade !
