Heaven and Hell....

After the techno day I had to go and check out Jess and John's fridge / freezer as they have to stay in UK and can't come back for a while. She asked me to sling anything a bit dodgy and use the rest..... !

When I opened the freezer it was like walking into a horror movie..... the smell that emanated from the freezer was unlike anything I have ever experienced before...  There has not been a word yet invented to adequately describe this head heart and stomach churning stench.... They used to be vegetarians... at that moment I wished they still were.... 3 month old meat that had decomposed into 30 degrees plus for 3 months plus had tranformed into evil brown liquid mush covering all manner of other stuff.... their immaculate house had been closed up and so there was no air and the heat was trapped with me and the smell in the house.

I couldn't even open the windows because Jess feeds the feral cats and they were all trying to get in !

I will not upset you further by describing what I had to do to clean up...... I was so repulsed I walked straight into our shower with all my clothes on and stood there for half and hour convinced the smell was still clinging to me somehow.... Strangely liberating experience showering in ALL your clothes... try it.!

Went back this morning armed with a can of chemicals ( I know homeopathic girl doesn't believe in them but in times of crisis and all that....) and threw open the cat free windows...and wedged open the terrace door. Turns out they had an electrical fault. Pete went to check last night and could smell the house before he rounded the corner... ( he thinks I exaggerate MASSIVELY !)

Soooooooooooo as a reward to self and himself we are going to have a day at the beach but leaving it as late as poss so we dont get too tired from the silly heat 34 degrees is great for a 2 week holiday it's exhausting in your real life ! We spend all out time under the parasol and don't sunbathe .......
